Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about GovDraft, our Compliance Matrix, drafting workflow, and how we handle your data.

1. What is GovDraft?

GovDraft is an AI-powered workspace that analyzes solicitation documents, creates Compliance Matrices, and generates structured proposal drafts. It helps small businesses, consultants, and proposal writers save time and stay organized for requirements review.

2. Does GovDraft replace SAM.gov or opportunity discovery platforms?

No. GovDraft does not provide opportunity discovery, bid alerts, or pipeline tracking. GovDraft is designed for teams that already have a solicitation and need to execute a proposal by turning Section L and Section M requirements into structured Compliance Matrices and draft proposal content.

3. When do teams use GovDraft in the GovCon workflow?

GovDraft is used after an opportunity has been identified, complementing discovery platforms by handling requirements organization and execution once a solicitation is in hand.

4. How does the Compliance Matrix work?

Upload your solicitation (PDF or document), and GovDraft identifies the instructions, requirements, and evaluation elements. It turns them into a clean, organized matrix that’s easy to follow and ready for drafting review.

5. What makes GovDraft different from normal AI writing tools?

GovDraft focuses on structure and requirements review, not creativity. It keeps proposals organized around instructions and helps reduce hallucinated content by following a strict rule-based workflow. The goal is accuracy and clarity, not guesswork.

6. Does GovDraft keep a copy of my proposals?

No. Your proposal content belongs to you. GovDraft stores a temporary working copy during a short-term processing window as described in the Privacy Policy. Long-term storage is optional and controlled by you.

7. Do you use my data to train AI models?

No. Your documents, drafts, and exports are not used to train public or shared models. Sharing is limited to operational processing as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. How does GovDraft handle my data?

GovDraft uses encrypted processing, short-lived storage, and access controls. Your documents are processed during the short-term processing window unless you choose extended archiving.

9. Will this replace my proposal writer?

No. GovDraft speeds up analysis, organization, and drafting, but final review and refinement are still important. Think of it as a powerful assistant that keeps you organized for requirements review and can save time.

10. Can I export my proposals to Word or PDF?

Yes. GovDraft supports Word, PDF, CSV, and direct exports to Google Drive or Dropbox. Everything is formatted cleanly for editing or submission review.

11. How accurate is the proposal drafting?

GovDraft focuses on clarity, structure, and alignment with solicitation requirements. You remain in control of the final language, and the workflow encourages review before export.

12. What types of solicitations does GovDraft support?

Most federal RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and combined solicitations that contain readable text. You simply upload your document and GovDraft analyzes the instructions and requirements.

13. Who is GovDraft for?

Small businesses, consultants, proposal writers, and any team preparing federal proposals. It’s especially useful for those managing multiple solicitations each month.

14. How does pricing work?

GovDraft offers several plans ranging from individual users to larger teams. Each plan includes a set number of monthly exports and features matched to typical proposal workloads.

15. Is there a Free Compliance Matrix option?
